Before you start a Citrus County FL warrants search, you should first understand how arrest warrants function throughout the state of Florida. In this state, all arrest warrants, although issued by the county where the crime was committed, are active on a statewide basis. The most important consequence of this is that an individual cannot flee over county lines in the hopes of evading arrest, and police forces can pursue the suspect.

Once an arrest warrant has been issued, it grants law enforcement 48 hours to arrest the suspect, at which point criminal proceedings can begin.
